My PsYsC Summer Camp 'o9 Story :) -continued version

Apr 9, '09 7:43 AM
for everyone
greetings to the people who will have the patience/attention span to read this blog of mine.It is not yet finished. I am ay tired. And draining my head
I will know tell the story of how it all started.(flashback!!)

Day Zero(they call it zero.)(apr.3)

3.00 In the morning, i wake up feeling nervous and jittery. It was because it was my first time to be far apart from my family this long. I woke up our whole house making my parents cranky.I moved fast, trying to get there before 4 o'clock(departure time).
My parents sleepily drove me to school, there were already many people there. I met a few seniors and chatted with them. I said hi to my classmates and friends while we patiently waited for the time to depart.
By a quarter to 4, we boarded our bags and ourselves into the bus. I sat beside Michelle and we talked our heads off. We waited for another person,Kirsten. Michelle fooled around with kuya joshua's phone trying to play a game there.
I went berserk and tried to make her lose by distracting her from the game.
We left school by 4.15 turns out. Mj was way late and we picked him up somewhere in Manila. The ride went boring since a lot were asleep. I was half-iPod-ing and half-sleeping. We had a potty stop in Quezon, just outside of NLex, we trailed the highway and stopped at a gasoline station, where i ate breakfast at ChowKing. The ride went hot, stuffy and nauseating, since we caught traffic in Bataan. We arrived at La Vista around ten where the registration took some time. We practiced for the elims, got settled in our tents and auditioned for the contest. We miraculously got to the finals.Dinner was served and so is the opening the program/
The opening program had a lot of technical difficulties, the point is,the main theme was that we were nature servers trying to serve the environment. Our faci's are the wise people, and we gather info(lectures)and face the trials(workshop) to learn the right skills.
The participants are also divided into sub-camps(balanghays),we met each other and also our faci(tomaron),Ate Cesi. She is nice and all hyped up.But like me,a newbie. We elected a leader and met a few people around(and a real cutie there too.)

Day Uno(apr.4)

the head of the stage(Kuya Robert)woke us up with his legendary gong signals that he will use for rest of the camp everyday.
The day started off with an exercise we are still cra-z about.

"sa umaga tumalon talon na parang bagong taon, kembot kumembot na parang............sisigla gaganda lagi ang ating umaga"

Then we were put back into our groups where we decided our name(layog)and cheers for the cheer stuff that night. We were then organized for the two boring-est lectures of the camp(judging from my view). It was about Hydrology, and there were two speakers. I was taking notes during the first half. But i was just getting sleepy by the next, I almost dozed off. Afterwards we had to do the workshop about the aquifier. My groupmates were really er.
..shy.
I have to take initiative. Fortunately, some of them were able to respond to me. We had lunch then continued stuff stuff. We finished the aquifier while trying to re-organize the cheering during the fast disapperaing daylight. After dinner. We prepared for the food festival and headed back to the session hall. We had a game, fill the banig with most people by sub-camp. We won by the first try. But we were only 22 and another group was 24 so we lost at the finals.Oh, and the cutie offered to make buhat of me but i refused damnn...
We continued to the cheering,i was convinced we did a lame job but, we got third place. Cool!

Day Two(apr.5)

we woke up early. Around 4 or 5?We practiced the cultural stuff. Then the day progressed on. We had this workshop known as the green makeover, which by far was the most "martrabaho" of all. I had some talk with my crush. We also did the banner. It was also the night when we performed the cultural contest. Sadly,we didn't win (self-pity). There was also that "engkanto" incident which led us to scare ourselves and gather 'round to hear the story.Fortunately, my mom called and we talked for about an hour easing my scared self a little. Me and my tentmates huddled together and eased ourselves with the conversations we had.I did not get good sleep that night.

Day Three(apr.6)

This is the most tiresome day of all. We had an overall workshop which lasted from 7-11.This includes running around the field and solving stuff. I was sweating like cra-z. i have to change twice. After the workshop, i hung around my groupmates and we talked and had lunch. That afternoon we had our Camp Fair, which was really awesome. We have to collect mock money at the handmaid fair. It was cool. That night, after dinner, we had another lecture and the quiz bee. I was trying to work out my brain. I got most of the questions right. But sadly, we didn't win.

Day Four(apr.7)

Our last day. We had the last mag-exercise tayo routines. We were gonna go on a field trip that day which was rather disappointing. We only got to two destinations and the bus is just a wheezing piece of almost-dead excuse for a vehicle.I was really uncomfy on the bus. That night,we had the pledge night. The last time we as a group, were gonna be together.I was dressed in white while we have this symbolism part and lighting of PsYsC Logo. My candle was almost dead before our turn. I had fun picturing. We also had the awards. I won "pinakadakilang sandayo" or best participant. AHAHA,tHAT WAS FUN.
There was also the part where our faci's took the stage and gave a message to their camps. I was touched by ours because i knew what went through and i had gotten close to our leader. Alas, all good things come to an end.

Yesterday(APR.8)
We woke up groggy and dioriented. I packed my things and waited for the time to go board the bus. I was sad because that was the time i realized i won't have the same good time i had with those people during those days. I will really miss that. I wish that the summer camp would not be removed by our president next year so i can join it next year, hopefully. And if ver, i look forward to seeing them again
